The Youth Edition 2027 takes place from 1st March 2027 to 31st May 2027, with the grand finale on 28th May 2027.

Eligibility

• Zambian citizens aged 18–35 on 1st March 2027.
• One entry in one category per person: singer or rapper.
• Free entry, with accurate personal details.
• Judges, production-team members and persons with disqualifying conflicts cannot compete.

Your audition

• Original music, performed by you.
• One video of up to 60 seconds.
• Clear sound and a stable picture; professional equipment is not required.
• No abusive, discriminatory or unlawful material.
• Submissions are reviewed before publication.

Scoring

Audition screening is panel-led. Public rounds: 70% panel and 30% audited public vote. Grand finale: 60% panel and 40% audited public vote. Singers and rappers are assessed separately.

Voting is free, with one verified voter ballot per category per round, editable until the round closes. Final score = weighted panel score plus weighted share of valid category votes.

Integrity and results

Votes are audited and conflicts are declared. Ties are decided by higher panel total, then higher vocal/flow score, then higher originality score, then a documented independent panel decision. Contestants retain ownership of their original work.
